How to Send Attachments in Sparkforge Conversations
Attach files to SMS, email, or WhatsApp messages in Sparkforge Conversations from the paperclip menu, the clipboard, or the media library. Files over 20MB convert to media library links automatically.
Attachments in Sparkforge Conversations let you share contracts, brochures, images, and video clips alongside text in any channel. Files that don't fit channel limits get auto-linked from the media library.
What you can attach
Images, PDFs, documents, and video. Email caps direct attachments at 20 MB. SMS has its own size limits. Files over those caps move to the media library and get sent as links.
Why it helps
- Share contracts, images, videos, and PDFs without third-party file links.
- Upload from your device or pick from the media library.
- Auto-handling for oversized files keeps delivery smooth.
- Video uploads generate GIF thumbnails for richer email previews.
Attach a file
- Open Conversations and select an existing thread or start a new message.
- Click the paperclip icon in the SMS or email composer.
- Choose a file from your device, or pick one from the media library.
- Send.
Paste from clipboard
- Copy a file or image on your computer.
- Click inside the message composer (SMS, email, or WhatsApp).
- Press
Ctrl + V(Windows) orCmd + V(Mac). - The file appears as an attachment.
Clipboard attachments follow the same file type and size limits as everything else in Conversations.
Upload methods
- Upload from device — pick a file from local storage.
- Media library — reuse a file you already uploaded; no need to re-upload.
Automatic media library uploads
If an SMS attachment or an email attachment over 20 MB is uploaded, Sparkforge moves it to the media library and inserts a link to the file in the message instead of attaching it directly. Delivery stays smooth and you don't hit size errors.
Interactive video thumbnails
Videos uploaded through the media library generate an animated GIF thumbnail. The thumbnail appears in emails so the recipient sees a moving preview instead of a static placeholder.
