How to Enable Apple Pay and Google Pay in Sparkforge Invoices

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Apple Pay and Google Pay work on Sparkforge invoices and Text2Pay links when you connect Stripe via Stripe Connect and enable the wallets in your Stripe account. Apple Pay also requires a domain registration step, which Sparkforge handles automatically the moment Stripe is connected.

Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported on one-time invoices, recurring invoices, and Text2Pay links. They show up automatically for customers whose device, browser, and country support the wallet — no code changes on your side.

Requirements

  • Stripe connected through Payments → Integrations using Stripe Connect (not raw Stripe API).
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay enabled inside your Stripe dashboard.
  • Customer is using a supported browser: Chrome desktop, Chrome Android, macOS Safari, iOS Safari, or Edge for Windows.
  • Customer's country supports the wallet and they have a card saved in their Apple or Google account.

How to enable Apple Pay and Google Pay

  1. Go to Payments → Integrations and connect your Stripe account.
  2. Open Stripe and turn on Apple Pay and Google Pay in your payment method settings.
  3. Sparkforge auto-registers your domain with Apple Pay the moment Stripe connects. The wallets then appear at checkout for any qualifying customer.

How transactions show up in reporting

Stripe treats Apple Pay and Google Pay as standard card payments. They appear on your Invoices and Transactions pages exactly like a credit card charge, with the same Stripe processing fees.

Troubleshooting Apple Pay

  1. Confirm the Apple Pay / Google Pay toggle is on in Sparkforge while Stripe is connected.
  2. Check that Apple Pay is supported in your country.
  3. In your Stripe dashboard, open Settings → Payments → Apple Pay and confirm the invoice domain is listed under Web Domains. If not, click Add New Domain as a temporary fix and open a support ticket so we can find why auto-registration failed.
  4. Verify the domain association file is hosted. Visiting https://yourdomain.com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association should download a file.
  5. Customer must be on Safari with iOS 10+ or macOS Sierra+.

Troubleshooting Google Pay

  1. Stripe connected on the Integrations page.
  2. Google Pay supported in the customer's country.
  3. Customer using Chrome or Safari with a valid card saved to Google Pay.

What's not supported

Apple Pay and Google Pay only work through Stripe Connect. PayPal, Authorize.net, and NMI integrations don't support digital wallets. ACH and bank redirects through Stripe are on the roadmap.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Apple Pay and Google Pay cost more than credit card payments?
No. Stripe processes both as card payments at the same rate as a regular credit card transaction.
Can I enable Apple Pay if I use PayPal or Authorize.net?
No. Apple Pay and Google Pay require Stripe Connect. Other processors don't support digital wallets in Sparkforge.
Why don't customers see Apple Pay on the invoice?
Three common causes: Stripe isn't connected via Stripe Connect, the customer's browser or country doesn't support it, or the invoice domain isn't registered with Apple Pay in your Stripe dashboard.
Where do I find Apple Pay payments in reporting?
They appear on the Invoices and Transactions pages alongside regular card payments — Stripe doesn't separate them in reports.
