Offer Access Removed Workflow Trigger in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The Offer Access Removed trigger fires when a contact's access to an offer is revoked. Use it for revocation emails, internal alerts, and CRM updates.

The Offer Access Removed trigger fires a workflow when a contact loses access to a specific offer. It pairs with Offer Access Granted to handle the full lifecycle — onboarding when access is granted, off-boarding when it's revoked.

What it does

When a contact's access to a specified offer is removed, the workflow runs. Use the Offer filter to scope which products fire the trigger so different offers can run different revocation flows.

Why use it

  • Customer notification — tell the contact their access ended and what comes next.
  • Internal alerts — flag support or success so they can recover the relationship.
  • CRM updates — tag, segment, and set fields automatically for accurate reporting.
  • Access hygiene — confirm only eligible contacts retain access to gated content.

Configure the trigger

  1. Open the workflow builder — Automation section in Sparkforge. Create a workflow or open an existing one.
  2. Add the trigger — click + Add New Trigger and pick Offer Access Removed.
  3. Name it — something like 15% Discount Access Revoked.
  4. Set the Offer filter — pick the specific offer whose removal should activate the workflow.
  5. Save — commit the configuration.
  6. Test and publish — run sample data through, then flip the Publish toggle.

Use cases

Discount revocation email

Filter on 15% Early Bird Discount. The workflow emails the contact about the revoked discount and offers alternative deals or next steps.

Membership recovery

Filter on Premium Membership. The workflow notifies customer support so they can reach out with renewal options before the contact churns fully.

CRM tracking

Filter on Exclusive Summer Deal. The workflow tags the contact as access-removed-summer-deal for clean reporting later.

Frequently Asked Questions

When exactly does the trigger fire?
It fires the moment a contact's access to the specified offer is removed — whether the removal is manual, automated, or driven by a payment failure.
Can I use it to trigger a win-back campaign?
Yes. Branch the workflow into a win-back sequence with discount offers, testimonials, and a check-in cadence over the next 7-30 days.
Does it fire if access is paused vs. removed?
Only true removals fire the trigger. Pauses or temporary holds don't count — those need separate logic.
Can I trigger different actions for paid vs. free offers?
Yes. Either build separate workflows per offer or use a single workflow with branching conditions based on the offer or contact tags.
