Tasks Across Multiple Objects in Sparkforge
Multi-Object Task Associations lets you link one task to Contacts, Opportunities, Companies, and Custom Objects — up to 10 of each. Sales, success, and ops all see the same to-do.
Multi-Object Task Associations removes the old contacts-only limit on Sparkforge tasks. One task can now connect to multiple objects — contacts, deals, companies, custom objects — so every stakeholder sees the same to-do without duplication. Up to 10 records per object type per task.
What you get
- End-to-end visibility — the same task appears in every linked record's Associated Objects panel.
- Cross-team collaboration — sales, success, and operations can follow the same action item from different modules.
- Less duplication — one task replaces the cloned tasks teams used to create per record.
- Flexible limits — 10 contacts, 10 opportunities, 10 companies, and 10 custom objects per task.
- Powerful filters — narrow task lists by assignee, status, or any linked Contact or Opportunity.
Default associations
Sparkforge pre-fills associations based on where you create the task.
- Tasks page — no associations; pick what you need.
- From a Contact — pre-links the contact and its primary company.
- From an Opportunity — pre-links the opportunity, its primary contact, and that contact's primary company.
- From a Company — pre-links the company.
Edit, add, or remove associations any time using the Associate To dropdown.
Viewing associated objects
Every Contact, Opportunity, Company, and Custom Object record has an Associated Objects section. Hover the chain-link icon on a task row to preview every linked record. Click a record name to open it in a new tab.
Filtering tasks by association
Use the filter icon on the Tasks page or inside a record's task panel to:
- Show only tasks linked to a specific Contact or Opportunity.
- Combine with status (Open, Completed, Overdue) and assignee for focused lists.
