Troubleshoot Meta Tags on Sparkforge Pages
Validate your page's meta tags with metatags.io, clear stale previews on Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Twitter, then ask Google to re-fetch the page through Search Console's URL Inspection tool.
If a Sparkforge page shows the wrong title, description, or preview image after you've updated it, the cause is almost always a stale cache somewhere — your page metadata, a social network's preview cache, or Google's index.
Step 1: confirm the meta tags are correct
Run the page URL through https://metatags.io/. The tool shows the rendered title, description, og:title, og:description, og:image, and Twitter card tags exactly as bots see them. If anything looks wrong here, fix it inside the Sparkforge page settings before clearing any caches.
Step 2: clear social link preview caches
Each network has its own preview cache and refresher tool:
- Facebook — Sharing Debugger
- LinkedIn — Post Inspector
- Pinterest — Rich Pins validator
- Twitter / X — Card Validator (legacy) or share-and-refresh
Paste the page URL into each tool you use and request a refresh.
Step 3: re-fetch the page in Google
- Open Google Search Console.
- Verify your domain (a meta tag verification works fine).
- Use the URL Inspection tool, paste the page URL, and click Request Indexing.
Google will re-crawl the page and update its cached title and description, usually within a few hours to a few days.
Bonus: domain verification for Facebook
If you also need Facebook domain verification, the meta-tag verification method works the same way — drop the verification tag into your page's head metadata via Sparkforge page settings.
