Manage Marketplace App Permissions for Sub-Accounts
From the agency level, open App Marketplace → Manage App Permissions to approve or disapprove individual or bulk apps for sub-accounts, or disable third-party app access entirely with the master toggle.
Agency owners can control exactly which marketplace apps their sub-accounts see and install. This covers any app with a distribution type of Sub-Account or Agency & Sub-Account.
Open App Permissions
- Click App Marketplace in the left nav. If it's hidden, enable it under Labs.
- Click Manage App Permissions in the top-right corner.
Default behavior
Every public, live app is approved for sub-accounts by default. New apps that pass review and go public inherit the same default.
Approve apps
In bulk
- Under App state, choose Disapproved apps.
- Select the apps you want to approve.
- Click Approve in the top-right and confirm.
Approved apps become visible to sub-account users in their App Marketplace and can be installed.
Individually
- Click into the app's detail page.
- Click Approve in the top right and confirm.
Disapprove apps
- Under App state, choose Approved apps.
- Select the apps to disapprove.
- Click Disapprove, type
CONFIRM, then confirm.
Disapproved apps disappear from sub-account marketplaces. If they were already installed, they get uninstalled along with their conversation providers, workflow actions, triggers, and other extensions. Re-approving an app does not reinstall it automatically — sub-accounts have to reinstall manually.
Disable all third-party apps
- In Manage App Permissions, click the settings icon in the top right.
- Uncheck Allow sub-accounts to view and install apps built by 3rd party developers.
- Save.
Sub-accounts now see App Marketplace in their nav with a prompt to contact the agency. Every app flips to disapproved, and previously installed apps are uninstalled.
Re-enable third-party apps
- Open App Marketplace → Manage App Permissions.
- Click the settings icon and check Allow sub-accounts to view and install apps built by 3rd party developers.
- Save.
New public apps auto-approve, previously approved apps become installable again, and disapproved apps stay disapproved until you change them.
