How to Resell Sparkforge Marketplace Apps

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Connect your agency Stripe account, set resale pricing in the Reselling tab, and optionally override per sub-account. Each install creates two subscriptions — sub-account to agency, and agency to Sparkforge.

Reselling Marketplace apps lets agencies bundle third-party tools with their own offer at custom pricing. This walks through the setup.

Prerequisites

Connect your agency Stripe account

Your agency Stripe account collects subscription payments from your sub-accounts. Connect it from the agency dashboard.

Set your app price

  • Open the agency left menu and go to Reselling.
  • Set your agency-wide resale price for each app.
  • If the app has multiple pricing plans, set a price per plan.

Reselling eligibility

An app is resellable if:

  • The app uses a paid pricing model.
  • The developer set payment preference to collect within Sparkforge.
  • Distribution type is Sub-account or Agency & Sub-account.

Custom pricing per client

To override the agency-wide resale price for a specific sub-account:

  1. Go to Sub-Account List, search for the client, click the three-dot menu, and choose Manage Clients.
  2. Scroll to the reselling section, change the app pricing, and save.

What your client sees

  • Sub-accounts find the App Marketplace in the left menu.
  • They click an app and click Install.
  • The pricing they see is the price you set.
  • They select a plan, pay, and install.
Note: Sub-accounts need a card on file before they can complete the install. If they don't, point them to the company billing page under sub-account settings to add card details, then return to install.

How the billing splits

When a sub-account installs a paid app, Sparkforge creates two subscriptions:

  1. Between the sub-account's card and your agency Stripe account — the agency collects from the client.
  2. Between Sparkforge and your agency Stripe account — Sparkforge collects the developer price from the agency.

The agency keeps the difference between the resale price and the developer price.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which apps can I resell?
Apps that use a paid pricing model, collect payment within Sparkforge, and have a Sub-account or Agency & Sub-account distribution type.
How do I set a different price for one specific client?
Go to Sub-Account List, find the client, open Manage Clients, and override the app pricing in the reselling section.
Why can't my client install a paid app?
They need a card on file. Direct them to the company billing page under sub-account settings to add card details, then retry the install.
How does the agency get paid?
The sub-account is charged on the agency's Stripe account at the resale price. Sparkforge bills the agency at the developer price. The difference stays with the agency.
Do I need my own Stripe account to resell?
Yes. Your agency Stripe account is what collects payments from sub-accounts.
