The FirstPromoter guided import connects your FirstPromoter workspace to Sparkforge over API, copies your campaigns and affiliates, and preserves historical commissions so reporting stays accurate after the move.

Migrate from FirstPromoter to Sparkforge Affiliate Manager without exporting CSVs. The guided import connects to your FirstPromoter workspace through the API, brings campaigns and affiliates across, and keeps historical commission data so payouts and reports stay accurate.

What the FirstPromoter Import Does

This is a three-step API workflow:

  1. Connect your FirstPromoter account using your Account ID and API Key.
  2. Pick the campaigns you want to migrate and set import preferences.
  3. Resolve email conflicts, then run the import.

Why Use the Guided Import

  • Fast setup: No-code wizard handles connect, select, and import.
  • Historical continuity: Past referrals and commissions migrate with each affiliate so your trend lines and payouts stay accurate.
  • Clean contacts: Duplicate-email detection lets you merge or skip without polluting the CRM.
  • Payout control: Choose whether to include Pending Commissions and set Payout Terms so imported items respect your payment cadence.
  • Unified reporting: Imported campaigns and affiliates show up in Affiliate Manager dashboards next to everything else.

Run the Import

Step 1: Open the Import Wizard

Go to Marketing → Affiliate Manager → Campaigns → Import.

Step 2: Connect FirstPromoter

In FirstPromoter, go to Settings → API & Webhooks and copy your Account ID. Generate an API Key with read permissions for affiliates and campaigns.

Back in Sparkforge, paste both values and click Connect & Fetch.

Step 3: Select Campaigns

Tick the campaigns you want to migrate. The selection grid shows Status, Affiliate count, Commissions, and Cookie life so you can spot the right programs before importing.

If FirstPromoter shows payments processed via Stripe, that reflects your original FirstPromoter setup — it's not changed by the import.

Step 4: Set Preferences

  • Pending Commissions (toggle): Turn on to bring unpaid commissions into Sparkforge so they appear in the payout workflow.
  • Current Payout Terms (dropdown, e.g., Net-30): Determines when imported commissions become due in Affiliate Manager.

Step 5: Review Affiliates

The Affiliate Management screen has tabs for Total, New, and Conflicts. For conflicts, compare Affiliate Name, Status, Email, and Join Date. Choose Merge to keep the existing contact and attach the affiliate data, or Skip to leave that affiliate out for now. New affiliates become contacts automatically.

Step 6: Start the Import

Click Start Import. Processing continues in the background — you can navigate away. A summary shows queued Campaigns, Total Affiliates, and Historical Referrals. Sparkforge notifies you when the import completes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need CSV exports from FirstPromoter?
No. The API wizard replaces manual CSV transfers for everything supported.
What happens to commission statuses?
Each commission keeps its original status (Pending, Approved, etc.). Payout timing follows the Payout Terms you set during the import.
Can I bring in unpaid earnings?
Yes. Toggle Pending Commissions in preferences to import unpaid items into Affiliate Manager's payout workflow.
Will the importer create duplicate contacts?
No. Duplicate emails are flagged for review. Merge keeps a single contact record with affiliate data attached. Skip leaves that entry out.
Can I run the import more than once?
Yes. Re-run the wizard for additional campaigns or affiliates. Items imported earlier are not duplicated.
Are product-based commissions imported?
Not during the import itself. Configure product-based rules directly in Affiliate Manager after the import completes.
Where do I add tracking scripts after import?
Open the imported campaign, use the campaign list three-dot menu to find the tracking scripts, and add them before activating the campaign.
