How to Retry a Failed Payment in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Go to the product page, click Retry Payment, update card details if prompted, and confirm. Most failures are insufficient funds, expired cards, or a bank security flag.

If a payment fails on a Sparkforge reselling product, you can retry from the same purchase page. Most failures clear once the card details are updated or the bank releases the hold.

Why payments fail

  • Insufficient funds
  • Expired card or wrong CVV
  • Bank fraud flag or regional block

Retry the payment

  1. Open the product page for the item you're subscribing to.
  2. On the Purchase page, click Retry Payment.
  3. If prompted, enter updated card details.
  4. Confirm the payment. A success notification confirms the charge went through.

If the retry still fails

  • Call your card issuer to release any security hold
  • Confirm the card has available funds
  • Try a different card or payment method

If none of that works, contact support so we can look at the gateway logs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many times can I retry a failed payment?
There's no hard cap, but if the same card fails three times in a row it's almost always a bank-side issue. Call your card issuer or use a different card.
Will retrying create a duplicate charge?
No. The original attempt failed, so no charge was captured. Retry only completes one transaction.
Why does my card work elsewhere but fail here?
Banks often flag a first-time charge from a new merchant as suspicious. Approve the transaction with your bank and retry.
Can I switch to a different card mid-retry?
Yes. The retry flow lets you enter new card details before confirming.
