How to Customize the Contact Detail Page in Sparkforge
Admins can build up to five Contact Detail Page views per account in Sparkforge, organizing the contact card, left panel, center panel, and right panel for different roles, then assigning each view to specific users.
Contact Detail Page customization in Sparkforge lets admins shape how contact records appear across roles. Sales, Support, and Admin can each see a different layout against the same data.
Note: This is a Labs feature. The agency must enable it for the sub-account before admins can build views.
What you can control
- Role-based views: different layouts for different users.
- Panel organization: arrange modules, folders, and fields by workflow priority.
- Field visibility: hide fields that are not relevant to a role.
- Center-panel focus: surface high-value tools in a Dynamic Tab.
- Delete protection: disable the Delete button per view.
Views and access
- Up to 5 views per account.
- Only admins can create or manage views.
- The default view is preset and cannot be changed.
- Views are assigned in Manage Users.
- A user belongs to one view at a time. Removed users return to the default.
Page layout structure
Each view is built from four sections. The Conversations module is fixed in the center panel and cannot be moved.
- Contact Card: top section, key contact details.
- Left Panel: custom and standard fields, folders.
- Center Panel: primary workspace for major modules.
- Right Panel: additional modules.
Step 1: Open the customization tab
- Click Contacts.
- Go to SmartLists.
- Click the three-dot menu, then Settings.
- Open Customize Contact Detail View.
Step 2: Create and assign views
- Click + Add View.
- Enter a view name based on the role or workflow it supports.
- Assign users.
- Click Create.
The three-dot menu on each view supports Rename, Manage Users, Duplicate, and Delete. Click Manage all users for a global assignment view.
Step 3: Customize the layout
Contact Card
Items you can place: phone number, email address, contact address, owner and followers, tags. Only the primary phone number and primary email display. Reorder items, hide fields you don't need, and toggle the Delete button off if you want to prevent accidental contact deletion.
Left Panel
- Rearrange custom folders and fields.
- Rename folders for clarity.
- Hide fields that are not relevant.
- Re-add removed fields with the Add button.
- Check the visible field count.
Dynamic Tab
Surface one high-priority module in a dedicated tab between All Fields and Actions. Useful for items like Opportunities or Client Portal. When you assign a module to the Dynamic Tab, it leaves its previous location.
Center Panel
Drag modules from the actions tab or right panel into the center panel. Conversations stays fixed.
- Actions modules can move to the center panel or stay in the left panel. They cannot move to the right panel.
- Right panel modules can stay where they are or move to the center.
Pick a display style:
- Tabs view: modules appear as tabs.
- Dropdown view: modules grouped under a dropdown to reduce clutter.
Right Panel
Reorder modules for quick access.
Panel layout
- Three-Panel View (default): left, center, right.
- Two-Panel View: right-panel modules merge into the center panel for a more compact layout. Switching back restores the previous arrangement.
Step 4: Save
Review the live preview to confirm the layout, then save the view.
Best practices
- Build separate views for Marketing, Sales, Support, and Admin.
- Keep high-priority modules in the center panel.
- Hide unused fields.
- Use the Dynamic Tab for the most-used module.
- Disable Delete on views where data protection matters.
