Contact Detail Page in Sparkforge: View and Manage Records

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The redesigned Contact Detail Page is a three-panel workspace for managing contact info, conversations, and linked records. Auto-Save, collapsible panels, keyboard shortcuts, and inline associations cut clicks across the CRM.

The Contact Detail Page is the central workspace for every customer record in Sparkforge. The redesign trades endless scrolling for a three-panel layout, surfaces critical data at a glance, and remembers your view preferences.

What changed

  • Modern layout — faster, consistent, visually clean.
  • Auto-Save — edits commit automatically when you leave a field.
  • Keyboard shortcuts — move between contacts without touching the mouse.
  • Collapsible panels — focus on what matters; layout is remembered per user.
  • Inline associations — view and edit Companies, Opportunities, and Custom Objects from the contact page.
  • Cleaner right panel — Tasks, Notes, Documents, Payments, and Appointments share a unified design.
  • Hide empty fields — show only filled data.
  • Search inside fields — locate data or folders fast.

Left panel: Contact information

The left panel holds every key detail.

  • Edit the profile picture inline.
  • Update name, email, phone, and tags.
  • Set communication preferences from the DND tab.
  • Run quick utilities (Opportunities, workflows, client portal) from the Actions tab.

Toggle Hide Empty Fields to focus on filled data. Use Search Fields & Folders to jump straight to what you need.

Center panel: Conversations and activities

Full interaction history in one feed.

  • Messages, calls, and notes side by side.
  • Appointments, opportunities, and activity logs in line.
  • Create notes, send messages, or log calls without leaving the page.

Right panel: Action modules

Fully collapsible. Remembers your last active tab.

  1. Activities — appointments, form submissions, activity logs.
  2. Associations — add, remove, or view Companies and Custom Objects.
  3. Opportunities — every opportunity tied to the contact in a dedicated tab.
  4. Tasks — create, edit, and check off contact-specific tasks.
  5. Notes — log key updates and discussions.
  6. Appointments — past and upcoming meetings.
  7. Documents — sent and received files.
  8. Payments — invoices, subscriptions, transactions.

How Auto-Save works

Auto-Save commits edits the moment you leave a field — no manual save click. Turn it on:

  1. Open any contact record.
  2. Make an edit. A Save bar appears at the bottom.
  3. Click Enable Auto-Save from the kebab (three-dot) menu.
  4. Confirm in the modal. The setting applies to the whole sub-account.

Admins can also toggle Auto-Save from Settings → Contacts → Details Tab → Auto-Save.

Keyboard shortcuts

  • → / ← — move between contacts in the list.
  • ESC — collapse the right panel.
  • CTRL + S or CMD + S — manual save when Auto-Save is off.

Associations

View and edit company details on the same page. Access every custom object relationship without switching screens.

Quality of life

  • Panels and tabs remember their last state per user.
  • Consistent spacing, typography, and component behavior.
  • Unified empty states across Tasks, Documents, Notes, and Payments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will Auto-Save apply to everyone in the account?
Yes. Once an admin enables Auto-Save, it activates for every user in that sub-account.
Can I revert changes Auto-Save committed?
Auto-Save writes immediately and the activity log captures every edit. To revert, open the field and edit it back to the prior value.
Why don't I see the Enable Auto-Save button?
Auto-Save is probably already on. Check Settings → Contacts → Details Tab to verify the toggle state.
Does the layout reset between sessions?
No. Panels and tabs remember your last state per user, so your collapsed/expanded layout persists across logins.
Where do I edit Custom Object relationships?
Open the Associations tab in the right panel. Add, remove, and view Companies and Custom Objects without leaving the contact page.
