How to Use the Companies Feature in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The Companies feature in Sparkforge lets you manage B2B relationships at the company level instead of one contact at a time. Add company records, define custom fields, filter, sort, and search across the data your team actually needs.

The Companies feature in Sparkforge tracks business relationships at the company level rather than purely at the individual contact level. It’s useful when you deal with multiple contacts inside one organization or want a single view of every interaction tied to a business.

Create, Edit, and Save Company Records

Add new companies or update existing ones with the core details you need on hand:

  • Company name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Website
  • Address (state, city, postal code, country)
  • Description

Everything stays in one place so the team isn’t hunting across spreadsheets.

Custom Fields

Build custom fields tailored to how you sell and serve. Common picks include:

  • Industry type
  • Revenue range
  • Number of employees

Fields are easy to create, edit, and update so the data model fits your business, not the other way around.

Customize the List View

The list view gives a snapshot of every company. Use Manage Fields to choose which columns appear—for example, show Website but hide State—so you only see what matters at a glance.

Advanced Filters

Narrow records by any standard or custom field. Filter by City, Email, industry, or revenue range to surface the right slice of accounts (for example, every company in a specific state, or every account in a target vertical).

Sorting

Sort by company name, city, state, or any other field to organize the list around the work you’re doing right now.

Search Across Standard and Custom Fields

Search runs against any standard or custom field marked searchable. Look up a company by name, phone number, or a custom field value—finding records stays fast as the database grows.

Common Use Cases

  • Sales: Track prospect companies and their details to keep the pipeline moving.
  • Account management: Keep partner and vendor records current.
  • Marketing: Segment companies by industry or location for targeted campaigns.
