By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Open Contacts > Companies, select records (or use the three-dot menu for the full list), and click Export to download a CSV. A progress modal shows record count and percent complete during generation.

Company Export downloads selected Company records — or the full list — from Contacts > Companies as a CSV. Use it for B2B reporting, offline review, or sending structured data to stakeholders without copying rows by hand.

What you can export

  • Selected companies — check rows in the table and use the action bar.
  • All companies — use the three-dot menu on the Companies page to export the full list.

Export selected companies

  1. Go to Contacts > Companies.
  2. Use search or filters to narrow the list (optional).
  3. Tick the checkboxes next to the companies you want.
  4. Click Export in the action bar.
  5. Watch the progress modal until generation finishes.
  6. Download the CSV when it becomes available.

Export all companies

  1. Go to Contacts > Companies.
  2. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right and choose Export.
  3. Wait for the progress modal to complete, then download the CSV.

Progress modal

During export, Sparkforge shows record count processed and percent complete so you can confidently run large exports without guessing whether the file is ready.

What is in the CSV

  • Comma-separated values, one row per company record.
  • Standard company columns plus any visible custom fields on your account.
  • Open it in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet tool to filter, sort, or audit.

Tips before exporting

  • Apply filters first if you only need a slice of the dataset.
  • Confirm custom company fields appear as columns before relying on the file for downstream reporting.
  • Make sure the user role has export access for company data — missing permissions hide the Export option.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I export only a few companies instead of the entire list?
Yes. Tick the checkboxes for the companies you want under Contacts > Companies, then click Export in the action bar.
Does the export include custom company fields?
Yes. Visible standard and custom company fields are included as columns in the CSV.
What file type does Sparkforge generate?
A standard CSV (comma-separated values) file that opens in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet tool.
A team member cannot see the Export option. Why?
Their user role likely lacks export access for company data. Review the role permissions and confirm Companies and download access are enabled.
Can I track progress on large exports?
Yes. A real-time progress modal shows record count processed and percent complete while the file is being generated.
