How to Connect Gmail or Outlook to Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Connect Gmail or Outlook under Settings > My Profile > Email (2-way sync). Replies sync both directions so every conversation lives in Sparkforge.

A two-way email sync pulls every customer reply into Sparkforge Conversations and sends from your real address. No bouncing between tabs.

Connect Gmail or Outlook

  1. Open Settings > My Profile > Email (2-way sync).
  2. Pick Gmail or Outlook and click Connect.
  3. Approve the OAuth permissions prompt.

Once connected, Sparkforge mirrors inbound and outbound mail in both directions. Replies you send from Gmail show up in Conversations, and messages you send from Sparkforge land in your Sent folder.

Send Email from Sparkforge

  1. Go to Conversations.
  2. Click the pencil-on-paper icon to start a new message.
  3. Choose Direct Message.
  4. Pick a contact and click Continue. Your connected address auto-fills the From field.

Why Two-Way Sync Matters

Without sync, replies that hit your personal inbox stay invisible to automations, pipelines, and team members. With sync, every thread is searchable, taggable, and trigger-ready.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Sparkforge work with both Gmail and Outlook?

Will my old emails import when I connect?
No. Two-way sync starts from the moment you connect. Older messages stay in your provider's inbox.
Can multiple users connect their own inboxes?
Yes. Each user connects their own Gmail or Outlook account from their profile. Sparkforge has no per-seat fees.
What if I disconnect the inbox later?
New messages stop syncing immediately. Historical synced threads stay in Conversations.
