Sparkforge CRM Sample Data: What It Is and How to Manage It

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

New Sparkforge sub-accounts come pre-loaded with example contacts, tasks, notes, companies, and tags so you can explore the CRM with realistic records. Every sample record is prefixed with "(Example)" and can be edited or deleted at any time.

New Sparkforge sub-accounts ship with sample CRM data so you can see how contacts, pipelines, and related records connect before adding your own. The sample records are clearly marked and fully editable.

How sample data is identified

Every sample record name is prefixed with (Example). That prefix lets you spot demo records at a glance and decide whether to keep, edit, or delete them.

What gets created

  • Sample contacts
  • Sample tasks and notes
  • Sample companies and tags
  • Sample opportunities and pipelines (only if a default pipeline is set on the location)

How to remove or edit sample data

Sample records behave like any other CRM record. Open them and edit fields, reassign owners, or delete them outright. There is no special bulk-clear button; use a saved filter for the (Example) prefix and delete from the list view if you want to clear them all at once.

Who gets sample data

Only newly created sub-accounts get sample data. Existing sub-accounts are not modified.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I delete the sample data?
Yes. Every sample record is editable and deletable. Filter by the (Example) prefix to clear them in bulk from the list view.
Why don't I have sample opportunities?
Sample opportunities and pipelines are only created when the location has a default pipeline set. Other sample data (contacts, tasks, notes, companies, tags) still loads.
Will my existing sub-accounts get sample data?
No. Sample data is only created in newly provisioned sub-accounts. Existing sub-accounts are unchanged.
How do I tell sample records from real ones?
Sample records are prefixed with (Example) in their name field. Real records you create do not have that prefix.
Does sample data count toward my contact limits?
Yes, while it exists. Delete the records to free up the count if you are near a limit.
