Sparkforge App Marketplace Refund Policy
Sparkforge App Marketplace refunds depend on billing type: 3-day prorated window for subscriptions, defect-only for one-time fees, billing errors only for usage-based, and developer-handled for external payments.
This policy covers refunds for apps purchased through the Sparkforge App Marketplace. Rules vary by billing model — read the section that matches the app you bought.
1. Subscription apps billed through Sparkforge
Many apps run on monthly or yearly subscriptions.
Refund window
- Initial subscription: prorated refund if you cancel within 3 days of the first purchase, unless the developer specifies otherwise.
- Free trial: cancel during the trial and you're not charged. Once the trial converts, the first paid cycle is non-refundable.
- Non-functional after trial: if the app is fully broken right after trial conversion, contact Sparkforge Support within 3 days for a review. Partial refund or credit is possible if approved.
- Renewals: non-refundable once processed. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
Prorated refunds
If a prorated refund is granted, it may net out payment-processing fees and any usage charges already incurred.
How to request
Open a support ticket through Sparkforge Support inside the refund window. We coordinate with the developer to resolve the issue and confirm whether a refund applies.
Exceptions
Refund requests can be denied if you've violated the app's terms, misused the product, or are otherwise ineligible under the developer's policy.
2. One-time fee and lifetime license apps
Some apps charge once for permanent access — digital assets, templates, or feature upgrades.
Why one-time fees are restrictive
Digital deliverables can't be returned. If refunds were issued after delivery, users could effectively keep the asset for free. So refunds only apply when the product is defective or non-functional on delivery.
Defective product process
- Contact the developer's support within 3 days of purchase.
- Provide proof of the defect.
- Sparkforge and the developer investigate and may offer a fix or replacement. A refund is considered only if the issue can't be resolved within roughly 3 business days.
Final refund decisions are made jointly by Sparkforge and the developer.
3. Usage-based apps
Some apps charge per transaction, per lead, or per message sent. Charges deduct from your Sparkforge Wallet in real time.
Refund eligibility
- Billing errors: contact support within 3 days of the charge with evidence (system error, double charge, etc.).
- Valid usage: non-refundable. Once the developer has incurred the cost, the charge stands.
Dispute process
Open a ticket. Sparkforge reviews logs, usage data, and payment history with the developer. Confirmed errors lead to a credit or refund. Otherwise the charge holds.
Stopping future charges
Remove the app or stop using it any time. Past usage charges remain due.
4. Apps with external payment processing
Some developers process payments outside Sparkforge. The app listing or developer documentation will say so and direct you to a separate payment portal.
Where to request a refund
Sparkforge has no access to externally processed payments and can't refund them. Contact the developer directly using the support email in the app listing. Each developer sets their own refund and cancellation terms — review them before purchasing.
General provisions
- Fraud and abuse: Sparkforge and the developer can deny refunds, suspend accounts, and pursue legal action for manipulative behavior.
- Policy updates: we may update this policy and post the revised version with a new Last Updated date. Continued use means acceptance.
- Governing law: follows the jurisdiction in the Sparkforge Terms of Service.
