Set Daily Usage Limits for Marketplace Apps in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge agency owners and admins can set daily usage limits on usage-based Marketplace apps. Open App Marketplace, click Settings, then App Usage Limits to set per-day execution caps.

Sparkforge Marketplace lets agency owners and admins cap daily executions on usage-based apps. The setting protects you from runaway external API charges and gives finance a predictable ceiling.

What the setting does

Daily usage limits cap how many times an app can run per day across the agency. When the limit hits, the app stops executing until the next day. This applies only to apps with usage-based pricing; flat-rate apps ignore the setting.

Why it matters

  • Cost control: No surprise overages from a misconfigured workflow that loops.
  • Predictable billing: Daily caps make month-end forecasts reliable.
  • Centralized: All Marketplace controls live on one settings page, restricted to agency owners and admins.

How to set a daily limit

  1. Log in to your agency account.
  2. In the left nav, click App Marketplace.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Click App Usage Limits.
  5. Find the app and click Set Usage Limit.
  6. Enter the executions-per-day cap.
  7. Click Save.

Filtering to installed apps only

The full list of Marketplace apps is long. Use the App Status filter and select Installed apps to limit the view to apps you actually use. Set caps only on those.

Adjusting later

Limits are not one-and-done. Agency admins can change the daily cap at any time as budgets shift or usage patterns change. Lower it temporarily during a billing crunch, raise it during a campaign push.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can set daily usage limits?
Only agency owners and agency admins. Sub-account users do not see the setting.
What happens when an app hits its daily limit?
The app stops executing for the rest of the day. It resumes the next day on the agency time zone.
Can I limit only the apps we use?
Yes. In App Usage Limits, set the App Status filter to Installed apps to filter the list down.
Do daily limits apply to flat-rate apps?
No. Flat-rate apps ignore the setting because there is no per-execution cost. Limits affect usage-based pricing only.
Can I change a limit after setting it?
Yes. Open App Usage Limits, edit the value, and save. The new limit takes effect immediately.
