A2P 10DLC Messaging Fees in Sparkforge: Registration and Carrier Costs

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

A2P 10DLC fees come in three buckets: one-time brand and campaign registration, monthly campaign charges, and per-message carrier surcharges. Sparkforge passes them through with no markup.

A2P 10DLC is the messaging standard for sending SMS/MMS to U.S. mobile numbers using local business phone numbers. Every business sending SMS through Sparkforge Phone must register a brand and campaigns with The Campaign Registry (TCR). This article covers all three fee categories: registration, monthly campaign, and per-message carrier costs. Rates current as of August 1, 2025, U.S. only.

Three fee categories

  • Brand Registration and Campaign Vetting Fees: one-time charges to submit your brand and campaigns to TCR for compliance.
  • Monthly Campaign Fees: recurring charges per active campaign, billed monthly to TCR.
  • Carrier Message Fees: per-segment charges from AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others for outbound and (some) inbound traffic.

All three are passthrough. Sparkforge does not mark them up.

Brand and campaign registration fees

Brand and campaign registration are submitted together through the Trust Center. Sparkforge bundles them into a single one-time fee that includes brand registration, campaign vetting, and Fast Track processing ($3) for approval within 3 business days.

Brand TypeOne-Time FeeLimits
Sole Proprietor$24.491 number, 3,000 segments/day
Low Volume Standard$24.49Multi-number, 6,000 segments/day
High Volume Standard$71.90Multi-number, 600,000 segments/day

High Volume Standard includes Secondary Vetting in case the first submission is rejected.

Additional campaigns and resubmissions

  • Additional campaign under the same brand: $15.00 Campaign Vetting Fee per new campaign.
  • Resubmitting a rejected campaign: no additional fee.

Monthly campaign fees

Campaign Use CaseMonthly Fee
Sole Proprietor (Starter Campaign)$2.00
Standard Campaign Use Cases$10.00
Low Volume Mixed Use Case$1.50
Special Use: Charity / 501(c)(3)$3.00
Special Use: Emergency Services$5.00

Low Volume Mixed supports up to 2,000 SMS segments per day to T-Mobile and gets lower throughput regardless of Trust Score.

Per-message carrier fees

Carrier fees apply per segment on top of Sparkforge Phone messaging rates. Unregistered messages may be blocked or surcharged — keep your numbers tied to registered campaigns.

T-Mobile acquired Sprint in 2020. Some devices still appear as "Sprint" on lookup; messages to those numbers are billed at T-Mobile rates.

Sparkforge Phone usage rates

On top of carrier and campaign fees, Sparkforge Phone bills Twilio passthrough rates for SMS, MMS, and voice. All rates are per segment and apply to toll-free and local numbers unless noted.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Trust Score and does it affect my fees?
Your Trust Score determines messages-per-second (MPS) throughput. There's no direct fee tied to it, but a higher score means higher throughput and fewer carrier filtering issues.
Do I pay the vetting fee for every campaign?
Yes. Each new campaign under your brand costs $15.00 in Campaign Vetting Fees. Resubmissions of a rejected campaign are free.
Is the Brand Registration Fee charged for every campaign?
No. Brand Registration is a one-time fee per brand. Additional campaigns under the same brand only incur the $15.00 Campaign Vetting Fee.
Does Sparkforge add markup on these fees?
No. All A2P 10DLC fees are passthrough from The Campaign Registry, Twilio, and U.S. carriers. Sparkforge bills them at cost.
Can these prices change?
Yes. Pricing is set by external providers (TCR, Twilio, carriers) and can change at any time. Check current rates in the Trust Center before submitting a campaign.
What is a message segment?
A unit of text used for SMS billing. Most U.S. carriers count one segment as 160 characters of plain text. Messages over 160 characters split into multiple segments and bill per segment.
