Remove from Workflow Action in Sparkforge
The Remove from Workflow action takes a contact out of one workflow, several workflows, or every active workflow. Use it to stop sending campaigns once a contact converts or no longer fits.
The Remove from Workflow action pulls a contact out of automation runs you specify. Use it the moment a contact converts, opts out, or no longer fits the campaign — so they stop receiving messages that don't apply anymore.
What it does
You choose which workflow (or workflows) to pull the contact out of. The action runs the same way whether the contact is mid-sequence, waiting on a delay, or waiting for a condition.
Why use it
- Cleaner campaigns: contacts don't sit in irrelevant flows.
- Better customer experience: no overlapping or contradicting messages.
- Hands-off cleanup: automatic exits as soon as the trigger condition fires.
- Scales with your stack: works across all your active workflows.
How to configure it
- Go to Automation > Workflows.
- Click + Create Workflow, then + Start from Scratch (or open an existing workflow).
- Click the + icon to add an action and pick Remove from Workflow.
- Name the action — for example, Remove from Marketing Drip.
- Pick the removal scope:
- Current Workflow — exit the workflow this action lives in.
- Another Workflow — pick a specific workflow from the dropdown.
- All Except Current Workflow — exit every other workflow.
- All Workflows — exit every active workflow.
- Save the action, run a test contact through, then toggle Publish.
Example
A contact in your Marketing Drip just made a purchase. The purchase trigger runs a Remove from Workflow action targeting Marketing Drip. The contact stops receiving promo emails and gets handed off to your post-purchase onboarding flow instead.
