How to Grant Course Access in a Sparkforge Workflow

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The Course Grant Offer action enrolls a contact in a course or community offer automatically. Offers are created under Memberships > Offers and can be free or paid.

What this action does

The Course Grant Offer action enrolls a contact in a course or community offer the moment a workflow trigger fires. Use it for onboarding, paid course delivery, or free training without manual handling.

What you can do with it

  • Auto-enroll contacts based on workflow triggers.
  • Tie offer access to actions like form submissions, tag changes, or contact creation.
  • Cut manual onboarding work to zero.

How to configure

  1. Choose the action — Pick Course Grant Offer in your workflow.
  2. Name the action — For example, Grant Beginner's Course Access.
  3. Select the offer — Pick a pre-built offer from Memberships > Offers. Offers can include a paywall, a discount, or free access.
  4. Configure the course — Build the course under Memberships > Products with content, theme, and offers attached.
  5. Set triggers — Decide what fires the action — form submission, tag change, contact creation, etc.
  6. Optional next step — Add an email action right after, with login or course-link details.

Example

Auto-enroll new contacts in Advanced Marketing Strategies and email them the welcome.

  • Trigger: Contact Created
  • Action: Course Grant Offer, offer = Monthly Subscription
  • Action: Send Email — subject "Elevate your brand with strategic marketing", template Advanced Marketing Strategies

The offer must exist in Memberships > Offers and the email template must exist in the email builder before the workflow runs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if the contact already has access?
Sparkforge won't duplicate the enrollment or reset progress. The contact keeps existing access. Downstream actions like emails still run unless you add a guard condition.
Can I grant a course without charging?
Yes. Create an offer with no paywall under Memberships > Offers. Use it for free training, onboarding tracks, or internal team education.
Do I need to build the offer first?
Yes. The action references existing offers — it can't create one on the fly. Build the offer under Memberships > Offers before referencing it.
Will contacts get login details automatically?
No. Add an email step after the Course Grant Offer action with login or direct course-link details, ideally using a pre-built email template.
