Fix Missing Email Statistics in Sparkforge
Email statistics show up only for the surface they were sent from, and full stats require Mailgun or Sparkforge Email. SMTP integrations only report opens and clicks.
Why email statistics may be missing
Stats live with the surface that sent the email. Sends from the Email Builder, Smartlists, Workflows, and Campaigns each track to their own area. If you sent from a Workflow but are checking stats inside the Email Builder, the numbers won't be there.
Check how the email was sent
Confirm the source: Email Builder bulk send, Smartlist, Workflow, or Campaign. Then look at stats inside the matching tab. Stats only appear in the Email Builder for sends that originated from the Email Builder.
SMTP vs Mailgun stats coverage
SMTP integrations can only report Opened and Clicked. Delivered and Bounced are not available through SMTP. For full statistics, use Mailgun or Sparkforge Email.
If a sub-account previously used SMTP and a workflow contains old SMTP-era sends, duplicate the workflow and start fresh. Stats on new sends from the duplicate will report correctly.
Reset the Mailgun API key
- Go to Agency view → Settings → Email Services → Location Settings.
- Edit the Mailgun API integration for the sub-account and type
Delete. - Re-integrate the Mailgun API key from scratch.
Verify the CNAME record
The CNAME record powers Mailgun's open tracking, click tracking, and unsubscribe handling. If it's missing or wrong, links break and stats stop reporting. Re-add the CNAME exactly as Mailgun specifies.
Verify Mailgun webhooks
- In Mailgun, click Sending.
- Click Webhooks.
- Confirm the correct domain or subdomain is selected for your sub-account.
- Make sure every webhook event type is configured. Add any that are missing with Add Webhook.
