By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Food and HealthCare add-ons convert a standard Sparkforge listing into an industry-aware entity with specialized fields, menu or provider tooling, and distribution to publishers like OpenTable, MenuPix, WebMD, and Vitals. Entity transformation is one-way, so confirm the category before upgrading.

Food and HealthCare add-ons turn a standard Sparkforge listing into an industry-specific profile. Once upgraded, the entity exposes new fields, tooling for menus or provider credentials, and distribution to publishers that prioritize your industry.

What the add-ons unlock

  • Conversion to a Food or HealthCare entity (Facility or Professional) when eligible.
  • Industry-specific fields like menus, NPI, and Insurance Accepted.
  • Distribution to publisher networks — MenuPix and OpenTable for Food; WebMD and Vitals for HealthCare. Availability varies by country.

Important: Entity transformation is one-way. If you choose the wrong type, archive the listing and create a new one.

Setup walkthrough

Prep work

  • Food: current menus, prices, calories, allergens, spice level, and 1–3 photos per popular item.
  • HealthCare: provider/facility details, NPI for U.S. professionals, insurance accepted, accepting-new-patients status, education and training, conditions treated, headshots.
  • All: Payment Options and a short Featured Message.
  • Use clear, consistent images. Avoid text-heavy graphics.

Step 1 — Create or edit a listing

  1. Open the sub-account and go to Reputation in the sidebar.
  2. Click Listings to create one, or open an existing listing and click Edit.
  3. Set the business category to Food or HealthCare. The category drives eligibility for the upgrade prompt.

Step 2 — Confirm eligibility

After saving the basic profile, look for the upgrade prompt. If it does not appear, recheck the category, ensure the listing has a valid address and phone, save, and refresh.

Step 3 — Upgrade the listing

  1. Click Upgrade and review the summary.
  2. Confirm the entity type: Food, HealthCare Facility, or HealthCare Professional.
  3. The profile reloads with industry-specific fields.

Step 4 — Configure industry fields

Food

  1. Open the Food Details panel and set Attire, Accepts Reservations, and Meals Served.
  2. Click Add Menu, name it, then Add Section (Appetizers, Mains, etc.).
  3. For each item, fill in name, price, description, calories, allergens, spice level, and a photo.
  4. Add Payment Options and a Featured Message.

HealthCare

  1. Pick Facility or Professional and complete the relevant fields.
  2. Match names and credentials to official records. Validate NPI formatting before saving.
  3. Add Payment Options and a Featured Message — avoid medical advice; use it for access or notice info.

Step 5 — Publish and distribute

Click Save / Publish. Distribution to publishers begins automatically where supported. Some publishers take longer to reflect changes.

Step 6 — Quality check

  • Preview the listing and verify menus, provider attributes, hours, and contact info.
  • Watch Analytics for impressions and actions after changes propagate.
  • Review publisher Suggestions and accept/reject carefully — especially menus and provider info.
  • Use Audit History to track who changed critical fields.

HealthCare quality tips

  • Use professional headshots on neutral backgrounds.
  • Keep bios concise and factual; avoid PHI or case details.
  • List insurance networks using official names.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my business qualifies for the add-on?
Set the business category to Food or HealthCare. If the listing is eligible, Sparkforge surfaces an upgrade prompt automatically.
Can I switch between Food and HealthCare after upgrading?
No. Entity transformation is one-way. Archive the listing and create a new one if the category changes.
Are there extra costs for these add-ons?
Pricing may vary by account. Contact your Sparkforge representative for add-on pricing and billing details.
Can I customize which fields appear on my listing?
Fields are determined by entity type and add-on. Complete the fields that apply; optional fields can stay blank.
What if I upgraded to the wrong entity type?
Because transformation is not reversible, archive the listing and recreate it with the correct category.
The upgrade prompt did not appear — what should I check?
Confirm the listing category is set to a supported Food or HealthCare category, ensure address and phone are valid, save, and refresh. If the prompt still does not appear, contact Support.
