Sparkforge API Documentation, Versions, and Rate Limits
The Sparkforge API exposes REST endpoints for contacts, conversations, calendars, workflows, and payments at marketplace.sparkforge.com/docs. V1 is end-of-support; build new integrations on V2 with OAuth 2.0 or private integration tokens.
The Sparkforge API lets developers build integrations, automate workflows, and connect external apps to Sparkforge CRM and the Sparkforge Marketplace. It exposes REST endpoints for contacts, messaging, workflows, calendars, payments, webhooks, and more.
API versions
V1 reached end-of-support on December 31, 2025. Existing V1 integrations continue to work, but no updates or fixes ship for V1. New API keys can no longer be generated for accounts that haven't already created one.
Build all new integrations on V2. It adds new endpoints, OAuth 2.0, and improved security.

Authentication
- Private Integration Tokens — internal tools or single-location integrations.
- OAuth 2.0 — public integrations, Marketplace apps, and any flow that needs user authorization or multi-location access.
Rate limits
V2 enforces these limits per Marketplace app per resource (Location or Company):
- Burst: 100 requests per 10 seconds.
- Daily: 200,000 requests per day.
Track usage with these response headers:
X-RateLimit-Limit-Daily— your daily limit.X-RateLimit-Daily-Remaining— remaining requests for the day.X-RateLimit-Interval-Milliseconds— burst window length.X-RateLimit-Max— max requests in the burst window.X-RateLimit-Remaining— remaining requests in the current window.
API access by plan
Basic API access is included on Starter and Unlimited plans. Advanced API access — including OAuth 2.0 endpoints and Agency API keys — is available on the Agency Pro plan. Lower-tier plans are limited to Location API keys.
How to get developer support
Sparkforge Support does not audit code or provide developer consulting. If your setup is correct but errors persist, you may have hit an API bug:
- Report bugs at
https://developers.sparkforge.com/support. - Join the developer Slack at
https://developers.sparkforge.com/join-dev-community. - Attend the monthly Developer Council Call (second-to-last Friday) — listed at
https://www.sparkforge.com/events.
The full developer hub is at https://developers.sparkforge.com/.
