How to Sell Marketplace Snapshots Through SaaS Plans in Sparkforge
Attach a Marketplace snapshot to a SaaS plan and every new sub-account on that plan gets the snapshot's workflows, settings, and assets loaded at signup — no manual install.
You can bundle snapshots from the Sparkforge Marketplace directly into your SaaS plans. When a client buys the plan, Sparkforge provisions a sub-account and loads the attached snapshots automatically. Clients land in a ready-to-use account instead of an empty shell.
What a snapshot includes
A snapshot is a packaged set of workflows, pipelines, custom fields, calendars, email templates, and other configuration. Marketplace snapshots are pre-built bundles you can sell or include with your plans — for example, a lead-capture funnel, an appointment-reminder sequence, or a full industry-specific setup.
Attach a snapshot to a SaaS plan
- Open the SaaS Configurator. Switch to agency view if you aren't there already, then open SaaS Configurator → Plans & Pricing.
- Edit the plan. Hover over the plan you want to update and click Edit Details.
- Open the Features tab. Click Add Snapshot in the top right.
- Browse the Marketplace. Click Marketplace to see snapshots available to your account.
- Attach. Hover over the snapshot you want, click it, then click Attach.
From that point on, every new sub-account that subscribes to the plan will load the snapshot at provisioning. Existing sub-accounts are not retroactively updated.
Events that affect attached snapshots
Sparkforge listens for changes to the underlying snapshots. Watch for:
- Distribution type change: may affect whether the snapshot is still available to your plan.
- Uninstall: if you uninstall the app behind the snapshot, it's removed from your plans.
- Payment issues: a failed payment on a paid snapshot can pull it from your plans.
- Snapshot disabled: a disabled snapshot stops attaching to new sub-accounts.
Why use snapshots in SaaS plans
You sell setup as part of the subscription instead of doing it manually for each client. The economics work better because every new client lands fully configured on day one, and your support load drops because clients don't ask why their account is empty.
