Important inbound numbers should never go unanswered. Ring Incoming Call to Multiple Users routes a call to up to 6 team members at once. The first to pick up takes the call.

Set it up

  1. Go to Sub-account > Settings > Phone Numbers.
  2. Click the three dots on the phone number row, then Edit configuration.
  3. Find Ring Incoming Call to Multiple Users and enable the checkbox.
  4. Add up to 6 users.
  5. Click Save.

Call flow priority

Ring Multiple Users only fires for certain call paths. Priority order:

  1. Workflow / IVR / Automation: Ring Multiple does NOT apply.
  2. User linked to the called number: applies.
  3. User linked to the calling contact: applies.
  4. Forwarding number: applies.
  5. Business profile phone number: applies.

Pick the device per user

Each user can pick which device receives the call. Go to Sub-account > Settings > My Staff > Edit user > Call & Voicemail Settings > Default Channel for Ring All.

Edge cases

  • One user declines: The other users keep ringing. Decline by one doesn't end the call.
  • Forwarding number plus Ring Multiple: Both fire. First to answer is connected.
  • User already linked to the number: The user follows their Forward calls to setting under My Staff. The Ring All channel is not used since the user is already getting the call by another rule.
