Resend to Unopened for RSS and Batch Email Campaigns

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Resend to Unopened now works on RSS and Batch Scheduled campaigns, not just Send Now. From the campaign list, open the three-dot menu, pick Resend to Unopened, set a new subject and time, and schedule it.

Resend to Unopened previously fired only on Send Now campaigns. It now also runs on RSS and Batch Scheduled campaigns, so newsletters and batch sends can re-engage contacts who missed the original.

What changed

  • Resend to Unopened now supports RSS campaigns.
  • Resend to Unopened now supports Batch Scheduled campaigns.
  • The same custom subject line and scheduled send time controls apply.

Run a resend on an RSS or Batch campaign

  1. Go to Marketing > Emails > Campaigns and find the RSS or Batch Scheduled campaign you sent.
  2. Click the three-dot menu on the campaign row.
  3. Select Resend to Unopened.
  4. Optionally enter a new subject line. A different subject often lifts the open rate on the resend.
  5. Pick a time for the resend.
  6. Click Schedule.

Sparkforge queues the resend for contacts who did not open the original. Openers are excluded automatically.

Coming soon: bulk resend

A batch resend capability is in development. It will let you queue resends across multiple campaigns in one action.

Best practices

  • Change the subject line so non-openers do not see the same envelope twice.
  • Wait long enough for the original send to settle. Same-day resends suppress legitimate opens.
  • Compare open and click metrics on the resend to find what subjects work for your list.
