How to Use Bulk Actions in Sparkforge Opportunities

Bulk Actions let you select multiple opportunity cards in the Sparkforge Kanban view and reassign owner, change pipeline or stage, or update status in a single edit. Drag-and-drop is paused during selection mode to prevent accidents.

Bulk Actions in the Opportunities Cards view let you update many deals at once without leaving the Kanban interface. Hover any card, tick the checkbox, and the bulk edit panel takes over from there.

Open Bulk Actions

Click Opportunities in the left menu.
Use the dropdown at the top to pick the pipeline you want to manage.
Use the toggle in the top-right to choose Cards or List view — both support bulk actions.

When to pick Cards vs. List

Cards view: best when you want to scan visually by stage and pick targets one by one.
List view: best for high-volume changes — fast scrolling, column sort, and full-page selection.

Select opportunities

Hover over a card and click the checkbox in its top-right corner to select. Repeat for each card. Selection mode disables drag-and-drop and card-open behavior so you do not move or open a record by accident.

If a page contains 20+ opportunities, a Select all [number] button appears so you can grab everything visible on the current page in one click. The option does not extend across pagination.

Apply a bulk edit

With cards selected, click Edit at the top of the screen.
In the Bulk Edit panel, choose the field you want to change.
Set the new value and confirm.

Common fields

Owner: reassign opportunities to a new team member — useful for coverage gaps, vacations, or rebalancing leads.
Pipeline and Stage: move records into a different sales process or post-campaign workflow.
Status: mark records as Open, Won, Lost, or Abandoned in one shot.

Permissions and limits

Available actions depend on your user role and permissions.
Some changes (like moving records between stages) can be undone manually — confirm your selection before clicking through.
To exit selection mode, deselect all cards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I select cards across multiple pages?

No. Select All only applies to opportunities visible on the current page. Paginate and reselect to cover the next page.

How do I exit selection mode?

Uncheck the selected cards or use Deselect All. Drag-and-drop and card-open behavior return as soon as the selection clears.

Why is drag-and-drop disabled while I'm selecting?

Sparkforge pauses card movement and opening during selection mode so you do not accidentally drop a record into a different stage while ticking checkboxes.

Can I undo a bulk edit?

Some changes (like stage moves) can be reversed manually, but there is no global undo. Confirm your filters and selection before applying.

Do role permissions affect bulk actions?

Yes. The fields available in the Bulk Edit panel depend on your user role. Roles without edit permission on a field will not see it as an option.
