How to Upgrade a Version 1 Funnel to Version 2
Connect Stripe Connect, open the funnel under Sites > Funnels, and click Migrate. Pages and payment settings stay intact. The migration is one-way — you cannot revert to Version 1.
Funnels built before October 2021 run on the Version 1 page builder. Version 2 funnels (labeled v2 in the funnel list) use Sparkforge's modern product engine, support PayPal, and ship a cleaner one-step order form. New accounts only see V2.
What You Get After Upgrading
- Global products created in the Payments section, reusable across funnels, websites, calendars, and invoices.
- Native PayPal support.
- One-step order form.
- One-click web chat widget install.
Before You Migrate
Switch to Stripe Connect first. The legacy Stripe integration in Settings > Integrations > Stripe is not supported by V2 funnels.
- Open the Payments tab.
- Click Integrations.
- Click Add Stripe Connect and complete the connection.
Migrate the Funnel
- Go to Sites > Funnels.
- Open the V1 funnel you want to upgrade.
- Click Migrate and confirm.
Migration takes a few seconds.
What Stays the Same, What Moves
- Pages: no visual changes.
- Products: moved to the Payments tab. Funnel payment settings keep working without re-adding products.
- Sales data: the Sales tab now points at Payments > Order/Sales; historical data is preserved there.
- Test/Live mode: existing settings carry over, including PayPal sandbox/live if PayPal is integrated.
Migration is one-way. You cannot roll a V2 funnel back to V1.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I migrate every funnel at once?
No. Funnels migrate one at a time. Open each funnel and click Migrate.
Can I switch a V2 funnel back to V1?
No. Migration is permanent. Sparkforge recommends V2 because it manages products and transactions correctly.
How long does the migration take?
A few seconds. Pages do not visually change.
Does PayPal work on V1 funnels?
No. PayPal only works on V2 funnels. This is one of the main reasons to upgrade.
Will my old sales data disappear?
No. After migration, sales appear in Payments > Order/Sales with full history.
