How to Hide and Show Page Elements on Button Click in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

In the Sparkforge funnel and website builder, a button can hide or reveal any element on click. Hide an element first, then point a button at it to show it on demand.

The Show/Hide Elements on Click button action lets you swap content in and out without scripting. Use it for FAQs that expand, before/after toggles, multi-step forms, or anything that needs a click to reveal.

Hide an element on click

  1. In the funnel or website builder, select the Button you want to trigger the action.
  2. In the right-hand settings panel, scroll to Button Actions under General.
  3. In the Link To dropdown, select Hide & Show Elements.
  4. Click Hide Elements and pick the element, section, column, or row you want to hide.
  5. Save (or Preview to test).

Show a hidden element on click

An element must already be hidden before a button can show it. If Show Elements is empty, hide something first.

  1. Select the element you want to reveal later.
  2. In the left-side settings, open the Styles tab and scroll to Visibility.
  3. Click both the desktop and mobile visibility icons until they go gray (hidden in both views).
  4. Select your Button and open Button Actions → Hide & Show Elements.
  5. Click Show Elements and pick the hidden element.
  6. Save.

Edit an element you already hid

If an element is hidden in both views, you cannot click it on the canvas. Use the Layers panel:

  1. Click the Layers icon (stacked layers) in the top left of the builder.
  2. Find the dimmed entry with the eye icon.
  3. Click the name to select it.
  4. Toggle visibility back on with the eye icon in the top bar.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a single button hide one element and show another at the same time?
Yes. Pick targets in both the Hide Elements and Show Elements dropdowns under the same Button Actions panel. The button runs both lists on click.
Why is my Show Elements dropdown empty?
An element must be hidden first before it can be shown. Set the element to hidden in the Visibility settings under Styles, then come back to the button.
Does this work on mobile and desktop?
Yes. Set visibility separately for each view in the element's Style panel. The button action respects whatever combination you configure.
I lost an element on the canvas. How do I find it?
Open the Layers panel from the top-left of the builder. Hidden elements show as dimmed with an eye icon. Click the name to select and edit, or toggle visibility back on.
