Funnel Paths in Sparkforge: URL, Step, and Page

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge funnels expose three URL levels — funnel, step, and page. The funnel URL loads step 1, the step URL loads a specific step, and the page URL becomes meaningful when A/B testing rolls out.

Every Sparkforge funnel has three URL levels. Knowing which one to use determines what visitors see and how analytics, ads, and (eventually) split tests behave.

The Three Levels

Funnel URL

Configured in the funnel Settings. Loads the first step of the funnel. Use this for top-of-funnel ads where you always want visitors to start from the beginning.

Step URL

Configured in the Publishing tab on each step. Loads that specific step’s page. Use this when you’re sending traffic to a mid-funnel asset (a checkout, a thank-you page, an upsell).

Page URL

Each step currently holds one page, so the Page URL matches the Step URL. This becomes useful when A/B testing launches: you’ll be able to host multiple page variants under one step and split traffic between them. Configure under the gear icon next to Edit page.

How A/B Split Testing Will Work (Coming Soon)

You’ll publish the Step URL in your ad. When a visitor clicks, the backend reads the step’s traffic split and routes to one of the page variants under that step — Page 1 URL or Page 2 URL.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I change the funnel URL?
Funnel → Settings. Whatever you set there loads the first step automatically.
Where do I change a step’s URL?
Open the step and use the Publishing tab. Each step has its own configurable URL.
Can a single step host multiple pages today?
Currently one page per step. Multi-page support arrives with A/B testing.
Which URL should I use in Facebook ads?
Use the Step URL for any specific destination. Use the Funnel URL only if you want every click to start at step 1.
Does the Page URL do anything right now?
It mirrors the Step URL. It becomes meaningful when A/B testing launches and a step can hold multiple page variants.
