How to Enable Cross-Site Tracking and Third-Party Cookies

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Some Sparkforge embedded views (calendars, forms, and iframes inside other sites) require third-party cookies to load. In Safari on macOS, open Safari → Settings → Privacy and uncheck Prevent cross-site tracking.

Some Sparkforge experiences load inside an iframe on a third-party site — embedded calendars, forms, the client portal — and need third-party cookies to authenticate the user's session. If those embeds show up blank or stuck on a spinner, cross-site tracking is usually the cause.

Safari on macOS

  1. Open Safari from the Dock or with Spotlight (Cmd + Space).
  2. From the menu bar, choose Safari → Settings (or press Cmd + ,).
  3. Click the Privacy tab.
  4. Uncheck Prevent cross-site tracking.
  5. Close Settings and reload the embedded page.

Chrome on macOS

Documentation in progress. As a workaround, open Chrome → Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies and choose Allow third-party cookies, or add the embedding domain to the allow list.

Chrome on Windows

Microsoft Edge on Windows

When to disable third-party cookie blocking

Only disable for sites you trust. If a Sparkforge embed is the only thing affected, prefer adding the specific embedding domain to your browser's allow list rather than turning off cross-site tracking globally.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need to enable third-party cookies?
Embedded Sparkforge views (calendars, forms, the client portal inside another site) authenticate the visitor's session through a third-party cookie. With cross-site tracking blocked, the cookie never reaches the iframe and the embed fails to load.
Is it safe to disable cross-site tracking?
It loosens privacy protection in Safari. The safer option is to allow cookies for the specific embedding domain rather than disabling cross-site tracking site-wide.
My embed still doesn't load after enabling cookies. What now?
Clear your browser cache and reload. If it still fails, try an incognito or private window with cross-site tracking off — extensions can also block cookies.
