Funnel and Website Versions in Sparkforge (V1 vs V2)
Sparkforge has two page builder versions. V1 pages predate October 2021; V2 adds PayPal, one-step order forms, and centralized payments. Clone a V1 funnel to convert it to V2.
What V1 and V2 mean
In October 2021, Sparkforge upgraded the page builder for both Websites and Funnels. Pages built before that date are Version 1; pages built after are labeled Version 2. New accounts only see V2.
What V2 adds over V1
- PayPal payment processing
- One-step order forms
- All sales transactions surface in the Payments tab
- Digital products created in the Payments section, then attached to the order form on a website or funnel step
You can also import products directly from Stripe or build new ones inside Sparkforge.
Upgrade a V1 page to V2
Clone the page to a new location to migrate it to V2:
- Open the funnel or website and click Copy.
- Select the destination location (you can pick up to three).
- Click Clone Funnel when the button activates.
The cloned page lands as V2. Verify products, payment settings, and tracking before swapping live traffic.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I tell which version a page is built on?
V2 pages display a Version 2 label in the builder. V1 pages have no label — if there's no version tag and the page predates October 2021, it's V1.
Will my V1 funnel keep working?
Yes. V1 pages keep functioning, but new payment features land on V2 first. Cloning to V2 is the upgrade path.
Do I have to migrate to V2?
No, but new payment features and integrations target V2. Migrate when you need PayPal, one-step order forms, or unified payments.
Will cloning lose any data?
Cloning duplicates the page structure and products. Re-verify integrations, custom fields, and tracking on the cloned version before retiring the V1 page.
