How to Delete a Sparkforge Email Sending Domain

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Delete a dedicated sending domain from Settings > Email Services > Dedicated Domain and IP. Use the three-dot menu on the domain and choose Delete Domain. Confirm to remove DNS records and free the domain.

When to delete a sending domain

A few common reasons to remove a dedicated sending domain from a Sparkforge sub-account:

  1. Wrong domain added. If DNS won't connect because the domain is misconfigured or a typo, delete it and add the correct one.
  2. Business domain changed. Sending from a domain that matches your business identity helps reputation. Email providers like Google use that signal during validation.
  3. Domain reputation is low. If a domain has been flagged as spam too many times, deliverability tanks. Replacing the domain is sometimes the right reset.
Other reasons may apply depending on your industry and sending volume.

Where dedicated sending domains live

Open Settings > Email Services in your sub-account. The dedicated sending domains live behind the Dedicated Domain and IP button.

Steps to delete

Step 1: Open Dedicated Domain settings

  1. Inside Email Services, click Dedicated Domain and IP.
  2. Find the domain you want to remove in the list.

Step 2: Delete the domain

  1. Click the three-dot menu in the top-left corner of the domain entry.
  2. Select Delete Domain.
  3. Confirm in the popup. The DNS records are removed and the domain is detached from the sub-account.

Frequently asked questions

What happens after the domain is deleted?

The DNS records tied to that domain in Sparkforge are released. You can connect the same domain to another email service if you choose.

Can I reconnect the domain later?

Yes. Add it back like a fresh domain. Note that DNS propagation may add some delay before sending resumes.

Will deleting affect deliverability?

It depends. A high-reputation domain takes time to rebuild on a replacement. A low-reputation domain may improve overall delivery rates because the new domain starts fresh.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I find dedicated sending domains?
Settings > Email Services > Dedicated Domain and IP. All domains connected to the sub-account for sending and receiving show up there.
Does deleting a domain cancel pending emails?
Yes. Once the domain is removed, no further sends route through it. Schedule replacement domain setup before deletion to avoid gaps.
Can I add the same domain to another sub-account after deleting?
Yes. Once removed, the domain is free to connect anywhere — another Sparkforge sub-account or a third-party email service.
How long does DNS propagation take when reconnecting?
Usually minutes to a few hours, depending on the registrar's TTL settings. Plan a buffer if you're switching during an active campaign.
