Open the Navigation Menu element in the builder, add a new menu item, then drag it under a parent item until it indents. The indented item becomes a drop-down child. One nesting level only.

Drop-down navigation in Sparkforge is built by indenting menu items under a parent. The Navigation Menu element supports drag-and-drop nesting in both funnels and websites.

What nesting does

  • Groups related links under a single parent item.
  • Reduces clutter on the main bar.
  • Adapts to mobile layouts automatically.
  • Supports rearranging on the fly.

How to add a drop-down

  1. Open the funnel or website in the builder.
  2. Select the Navigation Menu element.
  3. In the right-hand panel, click Add Item > New Menu Item.
  4. Name the item.
  5. Drag the new item underneath an existing parent (e.g., Home). When it indents slightly, it is nested as a child.
  6. Click Save, then Preview. Hover the parent to confirm the drop-down appears.

Organizing menu items

  • Hover any parent in preview to verify the drop-down opens.
  • Drag items to reorder or re-parent them.
  • Multiple children can sit under the same parent.
  • Use the three-dot menu next to an item to rename or delete.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I create drop-downs inside drop-downs?
No. Sparkforge supports one level of nesting to keep navigation usable on mobile. Nesting deeper than one level is not allowed.
Can a menu item link to a section on the same page?
Yes. Use anchor links to jump to a section. The same drag-and-drop nesting works with anchor link items too.
How do I rename or remove a menu item?
Click the three dots next to the item in the sidebar. Edit the name in place or use the Delete button to remove it.
Does this work the same in funnels and websites?
Yes. The Navigation Menu element behaves identically across funnels and websites.
