Auto-Pilot Mode for Conversation AI in Sparkforge

Auto-Pilot mode lets the Sparkforge Conversation AI bot reply to every inbound message on supported channels. Wait time, message limits, and a manual-send sleep rule keep the bot in check.

Auto-Pilot mode lets the Conversation AI bot reply to every inbound message on the channels you've enabled in Preference settings. Three settings control how it behaves.

1. Wait time before responding

Number field, minimum 1 second, maximum 5 minutes. The bot waits this long before it replies. The pause lets the bot batch quick consecutive messages from the same contact and answer them in one response.

2. Maximum messages per contact

Number field, capped at 25. When the bot hits this limit on a channel, it sleeps for that contact. Mark the conversation as Read to wake the bot back up. This is a hard guardrail against runaway loops.

3. Sleep on manual or workflow message

Toggle plus a duration. When a Sparkforge user or workflow sends a message to a contact, the bot sleeps for the duration you set. The bot wakes automatically once the timer expires, so handoffs to a human don't get stepped on.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's a reasonable wait time for the bot?
Most operators set 5-30 seconds. Long enough to catch follow-up messages from the same contact, short enough to feel responsive.
How do I wake the bot back up after it hits the message cap?
Mark the conversation as Read. The bot resumes replying on that channel for that contact.
Will the bot interrupt a human reply mid-conversation?
No, if you enable the sleep-on-manual-send toggle. The bot pauses for the duration you configure whenever a user or workflow sends a message.
Does the message cap reset?
Yes, when the conversation is marked Read. The cap is per contact per channel, not global.
