By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Open Settings > Calendars, edit your calendar, and use the Forms & Payment tab. Toggle Require Guests for Booking and Accept Payments for All Attendees to charge per person.

Sparkforge Calendars supports group bookings with required guest details and automatic per-attendee payment calculation. This works for therapy practices, fitness classes, restaurants, group consultations, and any service priced per person.

What it does

  • Requires customers to add guest details before submitting a booking.
  • Multiplies your service price by the total number of attendees (booker + guests).
  • Stores complete guest lists on the appointment record.
  • Optionally collects guest emails for confirmations and reminders.

How to enable

  1. Go to Settings > Calendars in your Sparkforge dashboard.
  2. Click Edit on the calendar you want to update.
  3. Open the Forms & Payment tab.
  4. In the Add Guests section, toggle Require Guests for Booking ON.
  5. In the Payments section, toggle Accept Payments for all attendees ON.
  6. Save the calendar.

Require Guests for Booking

Customers can't submit the booking until at least one guest is added. Guest name is required; email is optional. Use this when group attendance is the norm — group fitness, workshops, event venues.

Collect Payment for All Attendees

Charges the booker for all participants combined, instead of a flat per-booking fee.

Total = service price × (1 booker + number of guests)

Charges process at booking time through your connected payment gateway.

Common use cases

  • Workshops and training events
  • Group consultations or treatments
  • Restaurant or event reservations with deposits
  • Any service priced per participant

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I collect emails for each guest?
Yes. Configure the booking form to collect guest names and emails. Use this if you want to send confirmations or reminders directly to guests.
Do I have to enable both features together?
No. Each toggle is independent. You can require guests without per-attendee payments, or enable per-attendee payments without forcing guest details.
What happens if a guest cancels but the booker still attends?
Refunds and adjustments are manual. Sparkforge charges the full attendee count at booking time, so you'll need to issue a partial refund through your payment gateway.
Do guests get confirmation emails automatically?
Only when you collect their email and configure guest-specific notifications through workflows or triggers. There's no built-in default guest email.
Can a booker add multiple guests?
Yes. The form supports multiple guest entries. You can configure the maximum count per service or appointment type.
