Common use cases

  • Logging form submissions to an external sheet for the ops team.
  • Tracking workflow executions for audit or reporting.
  • Feeding a downstream tool that already reads from Sheets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Google Sheets workflow action free?
No. It's a premium action — each execution incurs an additional per-run charge on top of your plan.
How do I map workflow data to specific columns?
Click Refresh Headers to load the latest column names, then use Dynamic Field Mapping to assign each workflow field or custom value to a column.
Can I update an existing row instead of creating a new one?
The current Sheets action creates new rows. For updates, use the outbound Webhook action to call the Sheets API directly or pipe through an automation tool.
What if my sheet headers change?
Click Refresh Headers inside the action to reload the column list. Field mappings will stay valid as long as the column names still match.
