How to View and Edit Sub-Account Dashboards in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge dashboards have a View Mode for reading data with filters and an Edit Mode for adding widgets, changing themes, and arranging the layout. Each user's date range and filter selections save automatically.

The sub-account dashboard is your live report on activity inside a Sparkforge sub-account. It pulls from CRM, pipelines, conversations, calendars, and more. This article covers the layout, modes, and the actions available in each.

Dashboard states

 • With widgets — the normal view. Each widget pulls live data based on the current filters.
 • Without widgets — empty dashboards show quick-start tiles instead of a blank page. Use them to add your first widget.

Dashboard modes

 • View Mode — read-only with date picker and quick filters. The default state.
 • Edit Mode — drag and drop widgets, swap themes, add elements, rename the dashboard.

The toolbar

 • Dashboard selector — switch between dashboards you own and dashboards shared with you.
 • Date picker — sets the dashboard-level date range. Per-user; saves automatically.
 • Edit button — pencil icon, switches to Edit Mode.
 • Action menu — three dots; clone, duplicate to another sub-account, set as default, manage timezone, manage permissions, delete.
 • Quick filters — up to five filters drawn from any data source on the dashboard.

Create a new dashboard

 1. Open the dashboard selector and click + Add Dashboard.
 2. Pick one: Blank, From Template Library, or Clone Existing.
 3. Name it. Toggle Private Dashboard if you do not want to share it.
 4. Set permissions per role: Agency User, Account Admin, Account User. Choose Full, Edit, View, or No Access.
 5. Click Confirm.

Edit Mode actions

 • Title field — rename the dashboard inline.
 • Add Widget — opens the side panel with Widgets, Elements, and Themes tabs. Filter widgets by chart type (numeric, donut, line, bar, horizontal bar, table).
 • Drag handle — six-dot icon on each widget. Hold to move.
 • Resize handle — folded corner; drag to size.
 • Per-widget action menu — Edit, Duplicate, Delete.
 • Save Changes — saves the layout and exits edit mode.

Quick filters

Quick filters apply across every widget that uses the matched data source. You can have up to five active per dashboard.

 1. Click Quick Filters.
 2. Click + Add Quick Filters and search across data sources.
 3. Pick fields from one or more data sources.
 4. For each filter pill, set logic: Is, Is not, Is one of, Is none of, Is empty, Is not empty.
 5. Click Apply.

Action menu options

 • Clone — copy the dashboard inside the same sub-account.
 • Duplicate to another account — pick a target sub-account and copy.
 • Upload dashboard template — load a template file you exported elsewhere.
 • Set as default — every user lands on this dashboard when they open the sub-account.
 • Manage timezone — pick the user's local timezone or the sub-account default.
 • Manage permissions — adjust per-role access (owner only).
 • Delete — permanent.

Working with widgets

In View Mode, click a widget to open a modal with the underlying records. Use the export button to download a CSV. Some widgets let you switch the date property between Status Change, Created On, and Updated On.

Comparison date range

The dashboard date picker also accepts a comparison range. Widgets without their own comparison setting use the dashboard's. Widget-level comparison overrides the dashboard's.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my date range save between sessions?
Yes. Sparkforge saves the dashboard-level date range per user, so reopening the dashboard restores your last selection.
Who can change permissions on a dashboard?
Only the dashboard owner. System admins automatically have full access unless the dashboard is set to private.
How many quick filters can I add?
Up to five per dashboard.
What happens if I delete a pipeline used in a saved filter?
Sparkforge auto-selects the first available option so the dashboard keeps loading without errors.
Can I copy a dashboard to a different sub-account?
Yes. Open the action menu, click Duplicate to another account, pick the target sub-account, and confirm.
