How to Set Up a Whitelabel Domain for the Sparkforge Desktop App
Point a CNAME from your subdomain to whitelabel.ludicrous.cloud, add the subdomain in Agency settings, upload your logo and legal links, then wait for DNS and SSL to settle. Login lands on your branded URL.
A whitelabel domain replaces the default Sparkforge login URL with your own subdomain — for example, app.yourdomain.com instead of app.sparkforge.com. Sparkforge still hosts and secures the app, but customers see your brand at every step.
Why whitelabel the desktop app
- Brand consistency — Your name and URL across login and the full app.
- Trust — Customers see your domain, not a third-party SaaS URL.
- Memorable access — One branded subdomain to share with the team.
- Automatic SSL — Sparkforge issues HTTPS via Let's Encrypt once DNS is correct.
Setup steps
- Create a CNAME at your DNS host.
- Host: the subdomain you want, for example
appforapp.yourdomain.com. - Target:
whitelabel.ludicrous.cloud - TTL: provider default unless you have a reason to override.
- Host: the subdomain you want, for example
- Add the domain in Sparkforge. Go to Agency View > Settings > Company > Whitelabel > Whitelabel Domain. Enter the full subdomain and click Update.
- Upload logo and legal URLs. Under Settings > Company, upload your logo (around 350x180 px, under 2.5 MB) and add your Privacy Policy and Terms URLs.
- Verify propagation and SSL. Wait for DNS to propagate (up to 30 minutes), then visit your subdomain. SSL provisions automatically once DNS resolves correctly.
Updating an existing whitelabel domain? Delete the old value with the trash icon, click Update Company, then re-enter the new subdomain and save again.
Whitelabel domain vs API domain
These are different domains for different purposes. Set up both for full brand coverage.
- Whitelabel domain — Login and app URL. Example:
app.yourdomain.com. - API domain — Branded links inside emails and SMS — forms, surveys, calendars, trigger links, short links, review links. Configure at the agency level and optionally per sub-account.
Troubleshooting
SSL protocol error
Sparkforge supports TLS 1.2 and 1.3 only. Update the browser, and confirm there are no conflicting A and CNAME records on the same subdomain — they block SSL provisioning.
Domain not loading
Verify the CNAME points to whitelabel.ludicrous.cloud. DNS can take up to 30 minutes to propagate.
HTTPS not working
SSL has not provisioned yet. Confirm DNS is correct and pointed only to a single CNAME, then wait. Let's Encrypt issues automatically once DNS resolves.
Cloudflare proxy
Set the whitelabel CNAME to DNS only in Cloudflare. The orange-cloud proxy blocks SSL provisioning.
