Sparkforge Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) Policy FAQ
If you resell the Sparkforge Core Platform, you cannot publicly advertise it for under $97. Private offers below $97 are allowed if not searchable. Standalone single features are exempt.
Sparkforge's Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) Policy restricts how resellers advertise the Core Platform. The cap is on advertised price, not actual price. This FAQ covers scope, exceptions, and reporting. The full policy is in Section 2 of the Sparkforge Terms of Service.
What the MAP Policy means
If you resell Sparkforge or a white-label version, you cannot publicly advertise access to the Core Platform under $97. Actual sale price can be lower, but only if it isn't discoverable through search engines, social media, blogs, websites, or other public forums.
Does it apply to me?
Yes, if you resell the Sparkforge Core Platform or a white-label version. No, if you only resell a single platform feature as a true standalone product.
What counts as the Core Platform
Two or more of the following features bundled together:
- Funnel and Website Builder
- Forms
- Surveys
- Customer Relationship Manager
- Email Builder
- Calendar
- Automation Workflows
You can't bypass MAP by labeling a multi-feature offering as a "standalone." Likewise, bundling a "free" platform feature with a discounted standalone violates the policy.
Common scenarios
Bundled offerings
If your bundle includes the Core Platform, the entire bundle must be advertised at $97 or more.
Limited-time discounts and promotions
You cannot publicly advertise a discounted price under $97. You can advertise that a promotion exists, hide the price behind "add to cart," or distribute private promo codes.
Lifetime licenses
One-time-fee lifetime offers for the Core Platform require prior written approval from Sparkforge.
Private offers
Private DMs, emails, and non-searchable channels can offer prices below $97. Just keep them off public, searchable forums.
Hidden cart pricing
If pricing is only visible after "add to cart," that's allowed.
Geographic exceptions
None right now. MAP applies in every country and region where MAP policies aren't legally prohibited. EU and UK are covered, though resellers there can communicate that final price may differ from advertised price.
Brick-and-mortar displays
Physical in-store displays are exempt as long as the price is not advertised outside the store.
Foreign currency
Convert the $97 minimum to local currency at a reasonable exchange rate. Recalculate periodically when rates shift.
Reporting violations
Report alleged violations anonymously at sparkforge.com/MAPpolicyviolations or email legalcompliance@sparkforge.com with the link. For privacy reasons, Sparkforge does not disclose investigation outcomes to reporters. Enforcement can take time, so allow several weeks before assuming inaction.
Exceptions
Sparkforge is not granting MAP Policy Exceptions at this time. Exceptions remain at Sparkforge's sole discretion on a case-by-case basis.
