How to Track Email Engagement in Sparkforge
Email tracking shows opens, clicks, bounces, complaints, and unsubscribes — but only on Sparkforge Email dedicated sending domains. Toggle it under Settings > Email Services > Dedicated Domain and IP > Domain Settings.
What email tracking captures
Email tracking records how each recipient interacts with your messages: opens, clicks on links, and downstream events. Use it to see which campaigns land and which need rework.
Important: Email tracking only works with Sparkforge Email. Mailgun, Gmail, and other SMTP providers do not feed tracking data into the platform.
Why use email tracking
Tracking tells you which content earned attention and which fell flat. If a product email gets opens and clicks but no purchases, that's the signal to send a discount or follow-up. Without tracking, you're guessing.
Where to find it
- Log in to your sub-account.
- Click Settings.
- Open the Email Services tab.

Frequently asked questions
What data does tracking collect?
Engagement data per contact: Email Sent, Delivered, Opened, Clicked, Bounced, Complained (marked as spam), Unsubscribed, and Failed to Send.
Does tracking work with Mailgun?
No. Tracking analytics are only available when Sparkforge Email is the SMTP provider for the sub-account.
Can I track emails sent from Gmail?
No. The send must come through a Sparkforge Email dedicated sending domain. You can still set Gmail as the From Name display, but tracking won't fire if Google is the actual SMTP provider.
What happens if I turn tracking off?
You lose visibility into opens, clicks, and engagement. Most teams keep it on so reporting and segmentation stay accurate.
