How to Disable Contact Timezone in Sparkforge Calendars
To force every appointment into your business timezone, enable Disable Contact Timezone in Settings, Business Profile. Contacts will no longer see a timezone selector when booking.
By default, the Sparkforge calendar widget lets contacts pick their own timezone when booking. That is helpful for nationwide service businesses, but confusing for local businesses where every appointment should be in the shop's local time.
What contact timezone does
With contact timezone enabled (default), a contact in New York booking a 5pm slot with a San Francisco shop sees 5pm EST — the shop sees 2pm PST.
With contact timezone disabled, the same contact books at 5pm PST. Every appointment lands in the sub-account's timezone, no matter where the contact is.
Disable contact timezone
- Open Settings from the sidebar.
- Click Business Profile.
- Scroll to the General section on the right.
- Check Disable Contact Timezone.
- Save.
The timezone dropdown will disappear from the calendar widget on the next page load.
Set your business timezone
Before disabling contact timezone, confirm the sub-account timezone is correct. Otherwise every appointment lands in the wrong zone.
- Open Settings > Business Profile.
- Find the Time Zone field under Business Physical Address.
- Pick the local timezone for the business.
- Save.
When to use this
- Single-location service businesses where customers walk in.
- Shops near timezone borders that want to avoid confusion.
- Tourist towns where visitors from other zones often book wrong times.
