How to Create an Email Sequence in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge Email Sequences send a threaded series of emails based on timing, conditions, and behavior. Build one under Marketing > Email > Campaigns, set the trigger and audience, add steps with delays, then activate.

An Email Sequence is a set of automated emails sent in order as a single threaded conversation. Each step can have its own delay, conditions (like sending only when the previous email was opened), and Stop on Reply to halt the series the moment a contact responds.

When Sequences Make Sense

  • Follow-ups: Re-engage leads who haven't replied.
  • Welcome series: Onboard new customers across several days.
  • Reminders: Event, demo, or action prompts at scheduled intervals.
  • Nurture campaigns: Educate over weeks without manual sending.

Build a Sequence

  1. Go to Marketing > Email > Campaigns.
  2. Click Create New Sequence.
  3. Set the trigger: Immediately or Scheduled time. Configure Stop on Reply if your sequence type supports it.
  4. Pick the audience: lists, segments, or individual contacts.
  5. Add email steps and set delays between them.
  6. For each step, choose a template or write plain text. Apply conditions (e.g. send only if the previous email was opened) and enable tracking.
  7. Review the flow and activate the sequence.

Tracking and Stats

Every step is part of a single threaded conversation visible in the Conversations section. From the list view, click the three-dot menu on a sequence to see step-level and overall stats. The email marketing statistics dashboard rolls up performance across every sequence.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens when a contact replies?
If Stop on Reply is enabled, the sequence stops automatically for that contact. Other recipients keep receiving subsequent steps.
Can I mix designed and plain-text emails in one sequence?
Yes. Sequences support designed templates and plain-text emails in the same flow.
Can I send emails based on whether the prior step was opened?
Yes. Each step accepts conditions like open or delivery status to control whether the next email goes out.
Where do I see step-level performance?
Open the sequence list, click the three-dot menu on a sequence, and select Statistics. You can also use the email marketing dashboard for an aggregate view.
Are sequence emails threaded or sent as separate messages?
Threaded. All steps appear inside a single conversation thread to keep context for the contact.
