How to Create a Meta Business Manager and Ad Account

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Create a Business Manager at business.facebook.com, add a Facebook Page, ad account, and team, then verify your business so the ad account is ready to connect to Sparkforge Ad Manager.

Before you can publish ads from Sparkforge Ad Manager, you need a Meta Business Manager and an ad account inside it. Once both exist and are verified, connecting them to Sparkforge takes one screen.

What Meta Business Manager is

It's the central console for your business's Facebook and Instagram presence — Pages, ad accounts, pixels, and team members all live in one place. You need a personal Facebook account to create one.

Set up the Business Manager

  1. Go to business.facebook.com and create an account.
  2. Use your business name and email when registering.
  3. Add your assets: Facebook Page, Instagram account, and ad accounts. Invite team members who need access.

Verify the business

Verification reduces the chance of account restrictions or bans. It's separate from verifying a Page — it confirms the business itself is real.

  1. Open Business Settings → Business Info.
  2. Enter your legal name, address, and other details so they match your official documents.
  3. Upload the legal documents Meta requests.

After verification, recovering the account is easier if anything goes wrong.

If the verification button is missing

Sometimes the verification prompt doesn't appear. Workaround: create a dummy app in Facebook's developer portal. Doing so usually triggers Meta to surface the verification flow.

Add an ad account

  1. In Business Manager, open Business Settings → Accounts → Ad Accounts.
  2. Click Add → Create a new ad account and fill in the name, time zone, and currency.
  3. Add a payment method to the ad account so it's billable.
  4. Assign team members who'll manage campaigns.

Connect the ad account to Sparkforge Ad Manager

Once the ad account exists and is verified, head to Ad Manager inside Sparkforge and connect the account. From there you can launch and monitor campaigns without leaving the platform.
