Custom Product Detail Pages (PDP) in Sparkforge Stores
Custom PDPs let you build a unique product page per item in Sparkforge Stores. Each product maps to one Custom PDP at a time, and clicks from PLPs and featured sections route to it automatically with a fallback to the default PDP.
Sparkforge Stores ship with a default product detail page that works for most catalogs. When a hero product needs a richer pitch (longer story, embedded video, custom upsells), build a Custom PDP instead.
What a Custom PDP is
A Custom PDP is a dedicated page you build in the Site or Store Builder and map to one or more specific products. When a shopper clicks a mapped product from the Product Listings Page (PLP), a featured section, or any direct link, they land on the Custom PDP instead of the default.
Why build one
- Storytelling: Embed video, demos, reviews, and FAQs tailored to the product.
- Conversion: Use custom layouts and CTAs that match the offer.
- Routing: PLP, featured sections, and product links all respect the mapping automatically.
- Single association: Each product maps to exactly one Custom PDP at a time.
- Safe fallback: Delete the Custom PDP and mapped products revert to the default PDP.
Prerequisites
- At least one Product created in Payments > Products and added to your store.
- Access to the Site or Store Builder for the sub-account.
- Confirmation of which store you are editing.
How to build a Custom PDP
- Go to Sites > Stores > select the store > Add New Page.
- Toggle on Custom Product Details Page.
- In the modal, search and select the product(s) to map.
- Build the layout with PDP elements: images, details, CTAs, Related Products.
- Click Save, then Publish.
Design tips
- Keep Add to Cart and Buy Now visible above the fold; repeat the CTA on long pages.
- Use Text Customization to localize labels across PDP elements.
- Reuse blocks across product pages for consistent branding.
Reassigning products
Open the Custom PDP in the builder, select the relevant product element or page settings, and update the assignment in the Settings panel. Assigning a product to a new Custom PDP automatically removes it from any prior one.
What happens when you delete a Custom PDP
Every product mapped to it reverts to the default product detail page automatically. No broken links, no manual cleanup.
