How to Disable QuickBooks Auto Review Requests in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The QuickBooks integration sends a review request the first time a contact pays an invoice to $0 in QuickBooks. Disable it under Subaccount > Settings > Integrations > Quickbook Integration.

When you connect QuickBooks to Sparkforge, the integration auto-sends a review request the first time any contact pays an invoice down to $0. This runs independently of workflows and manual review requests.

What the auto review request does

A review request is a prebuilt email or SMS that asks a contact to review your business. The QuickBooks integration ships with a built-in trigger: when a contact's first invoice is paid in full in QuickBooks, the integration fires off a review request.

Why it's on by default

The first paid invoice is one of the highest-converting moments to ask for a review. The customer just paid, the experience is fresh, and they're inclined to respond.

How to disable the auto request

  1. Go to Subaccount > Settings > Integrations.
  2. Open the Quickbook Integration.
  3. Deselect Send Review Requests for contacts.

Toggle it back on the same way if you change your mind.

Important notes

  • This trigger only fires on QuickBooks invoice payments, not on Sparkforge invoice payments
  • The Sparkforge workflow trigger "Invoice Paid" only responds to invoices paid inside Sparkforge
  • The auto review request only fires on the first invoice a contact pays to zero, not every paid invoice

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the trigger fire every time an invoice is paid?
No. Only the first time a contact's invoice is paid down to $0 in QuickBooks. Subsequent paid invoices don't auto-send.
Will Sparkforge invoice payments trigger this?
No. The QuickBooks auto request only fires on QuickBooks payments. For Sparkforge invoices, use the Invoice Paid workflow trigger to send your own review request.
Can I customize the message?
Yes. The auto request uses your standard review request template. Edit that template once and it applies to manual, workflow, and QuickBooks-triggered sends.
How do I turn it back on after disabling?
Reselect Send Review Requests for contacts under Subaccount > Settings > Integrations > Quickbook Integration.
